Pat, of course I'm still going to the Showdown, I would never miss that, unless I break the car.

How many times do I have to tell you, his is the post rape conviction version sans Tyson.
Bye week for the Steelers, but I'll still head over that way for this...again.
Until then, here's a fat kid on a moped.

We are going back, stayin at the Econolodge again. Maybe we will be neighbors again Mike. Good times...Its going to be cold though. We went up there last year for NOPI in October and it was like barely fifty degrees. Oh and we are bringing some more shine. Let me know if anyone has any requests we can get a bunch of flavors.

I'll go this time but I'm not going all by my self. Hey Mike, do you and Giles need someone to drive?

Mike I was thinking about it. You know how shitty I am about waking up early so I need to get there Friday night this time. Can you extend your room for Friday night too? I'll just cover it that night, but have a key at the desk so when you guys roll in you can just come in and crash for a bit before the track.

Some prefer 240sx's over 300Z's. I'm a DSMer, its my label, my car isn't the fastest, or the most reliable. Its not the cleanest, or the most comfortable, but it'll awaken the dead with my external gate opens, and the vibrations it causes at stoplights gets panties wet. Its MY car, and I'm proud to be a DSM'er

Well, you can guess by the lack of updates from Mike that he didn't win. I'll let him (eventually) give you the details of the day. It was a blast nonetheless, that's for sure.

It WAS a blast. My car was having mysterious misfiring problems so the best I could pull was a 9.7 @ 145 all day. The funny thing is the first two passes were with no bottle and I trapped 150 & 151 mph just rolling out to get a log.
I think my problem is either in the CAS or the MSD. I'll start with the CAS since its cheaper :)
I qualified 9th and got eliminated in the 2nd round when I went up against the number one qualifier who ran his best 8.6 against my 10.6 letting off at half track due to bad breaking up. So, even had I made a perfect run, chances are I still would have been eliminated. But, ya never know. We had a great time. We all got pretty hammered after/during the race. Once I was eliminated it was drinking time for me.Me, Andrew, Giles, Colleen, and Doug were the only ones that went from ATL. Chris and Angel from Diamond Star Motorsports were partying with us. The Applepie moonshine is the bomb! Ron Shearer was partying with us too on Saturday night. He's a goofy bastard ( in the coolest way).I'm really lucky to have such good friends that come help, support, and hang out with me. It was definitely awesome having Doug come along. I can never thank Doug enough for his help.
Oh I almost forgot... the 9.7 pass.... my car spun so bad thru 1st & 2nd gear I almost hit the wall. I was fighting with the steering wheel hardcore, then at the end of the track, the car died on me. So, I didn't have any power brakes, I slid...ever so gently...into the sand trap. LOL
I was laughing my ass off with embarassment. I looked around real quick, restarted the car and backed out of the pit and went on about my merry way. The car was fine, just had to clean some crap out of the fender wells.
Definitely doing the chute this winter.
I'm on a roll with the goofy stories.
Wheels falling off, hitting the sand traps, geez.

My favorite two pics I've found from other forums and a compilation video.
The last race on the video is interesting.

Here are a couple from DSMLink forums, since I don't think you're on there. Everyone is very impressed and wondering who you are.

1. Hmm, your trunk is open in every pic. Must have been to show off that nice tin work in the back.
2. If you could have heard some of the shit that comes out of people's mouths when they were looking under Mike's cars hood, you would die. Then again, Giles and I started drinking at 7:45 am so maybe it wasn't that funny.
3. 5 Gallon Buckets from Auto Zone make good concoction holders.
