The Talon blues
Well after a full week of exhasaution, hard work and anticipation on my talon being at the showdown this year, I never drove my talon long distances before, usually cause of failure failure and more failure lol...... but this time around I put so much effort into this car and I wanted to just go for it, just go and have faith in my handy work and my car, a two hr ride each way, well I made it there, and almost made it back.........18miles from home my alternator or battery quit on me! Even though it died on me, I'm gonna not let it get me down, I still built a reliable high hp car, oil leak free, water leak free, but almost made it perfect, I have confidence in my car now just from it actually makin it out of albany I was brave this time around

Some prefer 240sx's over 300Z's. I'm a DSMer, its my label, my car isn't the fastest, or the most reliable. Its not the cleanest, or the most comfortable, but it'll awaken the dead with my external gate opens, and the vibrations it causes at stoplights gets panties wet. Its MY car, and I'm proud to be a DSM'er

I will say this: older cars will have problems but what fun can you have if you don't take a chance here and there?! I think that was awesome! Hell...I like to roll mine out all over the place! You never do know though it feels. I drove mine to TN and Florida and few times with no hiccups. At least she stumbles near home!

I didn get to run because I didn have a full tune yet! you would have seen me around with Marcus Wilson(silver evo), I had talked to the judges about the dam cheater running a DSM with 2 dam motors, I hope he is not on here cause he is a liar and a cheater. he blew by tech inspection cause his battery was in his engine bay so nobody checked the back, but we busted him out cause that wasn right and he said there wasn a motor up front lol. I personally would not have cared if he beat me that damn car was cool as hell. But I can see why people were upset about it I guess. I just surprised me that he had a twin engine Talon that ran... and it ran good.

Hell yeah that thing looked so stock, I said this cant be,maybe he should of made it a showoff car and been up front, then it wouldn have been as bad, cause when u look at it, he is the only person there that can run every class except all motor lol! I wonder how extensive that was to swap cause you dont really need much with two engines to be fast!

I think the rules are going to be rewritten to include only SINGLE engine cars.

The rules were clear one power adder and 6 cyl VEHICLES. It was a 8 cyl vehicle but 4 cyl motors. So either way he should be dq.

Well I suppose we saw eachother but didnt get to officially "meet" then.
There is absolutly no question that the red 1G was compleatly bad ass. The car was just astonishing considering it has two freaking motors and it all works.....very well apparently. We actually have NO idea how fast he could have gone because he kept ramping up his time pass times after every AWD class run. He went from 13's to 10's and no telling how much more that car had. If each motor had only 300hp it's 600hp combined, It has the potential to be stupid fast (not that 10's are slow!)
But all in all, the bottom line is he cheated and people had a right to be upset. I was in his same class and would have placed better, although still no where near the top, if he hadnt ran.

1991 Twin Engine AWD Talon. 2 2.3L engines, 2 18g turbos, front motor has twin sidemount IC's, rear motor has air/water intercooler. Each engine makes over 320 whp ( about 400+ each at the crank ). This car is for sale on ebay.

not to change the subject back to what it started out from, but yeah, i think every car is what you make of it. my dsm's have always been really dependable, but then again after awhile you kinda know what to look for. and i inspect my cars almost every day to make sure they are up to snuff. and i never leave home without my tool box which for some reason has every tool a dsm'r should own..

I think the 2 motor car ran 10.8 against Nick's yellow Evo which ran 10.6 in the AWD finals. Cool car, just wrong race to put it in.
